Creativision Centronics Cable (Printer) for the Parallel I/O Interface Module

Creativision Centronics Cable (Printer) for the Parallel I/O Interface Module Finally i got a Creativision Parallel I/O Interface Module (it's a Dick Smith Wizzard Version).

This Interface provides a centronics printer port and a general I/O port.

Many Accessories were planed (Disk Drive, Modem ...) but sadly none of them have made it into production.

But you can use the printer interface!

Creativision Centronics Cable (Printer) for the Parallel I/O Interface Module Here you can see that the Creativison becomes rather big, when you attach the Parallel I/O Interface, aswell as the Cassette.

PS: Now i am only missing the ram-expansion and the additional keyboard to complete my collection.

Creativision Centronics Cable (Printer) for the Parallel I/O Interface Module The left port is for the printer and the right one is for all the other good stuff, that never made it...

Maybe someone likes to build some extensions?

Creativision Centronics Cable (Printer) for the Parallel I/O Interface Module As my Interface was missing the centronics cable, i had to build one.

I cut down an old ISA slot and connected it to a centronics printer cable.

You can see which pin goes where in the picture. For "Gnd" you can use either of the 2 mentioned on the centronics plug (my cable had no wire on pin 16, so i took the one from the lower side)

And => the cable works perfect!

Now i can print my Listings and so on, but...

Creativision Centronics Cable (Printer) for the Parallel I/O Interface Module As you can see my Star NL-10 9 needle printer sadly is only printing with 3 needles (got it for 1 Euro, so i can't moan...) Can you read the braille-like word?

PS: A new printer is on its way...

Now the solution...

With my "new" Citizen Swift 24-needle printer one can read the printouts without guessing :-)
